0:18.4	So back in 2014, my husband and I bought a rental house with my parents.
0:26.5	And then in 2015, we remodeled it.
0:30.0	My husband and I paid all the expenses and my father did the work.
0:34.1	And then in 2016, my parents got divorced.
0:38.3	And it was a very spiteful divorce against each other.
0:43.3	And my dad came to me and was like, if you give me $5,000
0:47.3	cash under the table, we'll be out of the rental property.
0:50.3	And I was like, I'm not going to do that because you guys are both my parents.
0:55.4	I'm not getting in the middle of it.
0:57.6	So then he went down to the county clerk and put a $20,000 lien on the property.
1:03.7	So we could not sell it because there was not enough equity to cover the lien.
1:09.9	And we've tried paying him three times.
1:12.8	He won't take the money because he has to split with my mom.
1:16.5	So we're just kind of stuck.
1:18.0	We don't really know what to do next.
