I keep doing therapy. I keep working out. I keep dieting. I keep taking drugs. I keep cutting people

out of my life. I keep adding people to my life. And fundamentally, nothing's changing.

We always want to be growing. But at the same time, paradoxically, we don't want to change.

I tried changing everything as well. I tried meditation, I tried all sorts of therapy,

but then it didn't give me the actual changes that I was looking for.

In life, we're always going to be exposed to a lot of different challenges, traumas, and difficulties.

And so if we try to change our external circumstances without changing our own internal being,

will change. Everything outside will change, but we'll still feel like we're not doing enough.
