Well, Elon Musk issues a statement on X2X users saying you are the media now and some people don't like that very much.

And one of the people in question as we record this is Jim, is it Van de Hay?

Yeah.

The president of Axios.

He just gave a speech at a press club and basically called Elon's claim that the people, that the user base is the media now.

He said it's a BS claim and he didn't say BS.

And then he went on this rant about how hard it is to be a journalist and how special they are and how wonderful they are and how highly trained they are and how dedicated to truth and objectivity they are and I'm just laughing out loud in my car

people are looking at me like I've lost my mind like I'm like I've got the the funniest

new comedian on the on the record I'm just I can't see I'm laughing so hard

Scott you got a degree in well you you were did you get a degree in journalism yeah you got a degree I knew well, you were, did you get a degree in journalism? Yeah. You got a degree.

I know you went to journalism school. I met their lofty requirements. There is, there is certainly

a case to be made that journalism is a profession and that there are in in a world where professional journalists have integrity,

there are standards and practices and and methods of doing things. So there is it isn't an actual field and an actual study.

What Van de Hay is saying is that regular people can't possibly be journalists because we're, what he thinks he's saying is,

they can't be journalists because we have all of this special training and all of these checks

and balances and layers of editorial staff and all the stuff we heard back in the pajamas media days

and so on. But what he's really saying is you can't call yourselves the media because we're the media, this is the priesthood,

you're not in it and we are.

Yeah, yeah.

You know, I think in a sense, there is a thing about being a journalist that would qualify
