| 0:44.8 | verses three four and five right now and we just looked yesterday at how it says |
| 0:49.2 | that Jesus gave himself for our sins. But then it gives us a reason he did that or one of the reasons. There are many reasons. But it says he did that to rescue us from the present evil age. |

| 1:06.8 | When I look around the world that's going on, |
| 1:10.1 | it definitely seems to be that description, |
| 1:12.4 | that it is an evil age that we live in. |
| 1:15.9 | There's lots going on that is just terrible and and people doing things to people |
| 1:22.1 | and resenting and fighting and back biting and abusing and all kinds of craziness |
| 1:29.1 | going on around us. |
| 1:30.1 | My wife and I have been quite often lately looking at each other just shaking our heads when we see what's going on in the world. |
| 1:36.3 | Just there are things happening we cannot believe are actually coming about and yet we recognize in the back of our minds we hold in our hearts this |
| 1:46.8 | truth that what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross was to rescue us from this present evil age. |
| 1:57.0 | Now let's make that as practical as we can today because I think we need practical |
| 2:02.2 | when it comes to our faith and how it relates to what's going on around us. |
