Alhamdulillah

All praise is due to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

We praise him and we seek his help and we seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our souls and the consequences of our actions

whomever Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guides

None can misguide and whoever is misguided cannot be guided except through him

I bear witness and I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

And that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is his final prophet and his most perfect worshiper as to what follows

Know that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has reminded us to be conscious of him in the Quran when he says

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us in Surah Fussilat verse 33

Whose speech is better?

Whose speech is better than the one who invites others to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

And while he is inviting others to Allah, he himself is doing righteous deeds and he announces to the world. I am a Muslim

Who does better than the one whose lifestyle it is to invite others to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

And while he's inviting to Allah, he's not a hypocrite. He's living the life of a Muslim

Wa amilah salihan and he announces to the world I too am a Muslim

Dear brothers and sisters, we live in a time and a society and a place where we are taught to mind our own business

We are taught to live and let live

We are taught that it is not polite to talk about sensitive topics like morality, like theology, like religion

Given the realities of this culture, we have to balance between the commandments of Allah and the sensitivities of the culture we find ourselves in

This land, this time, this place

It is not polite conversation to bring up religion. We all know this sometimes the hard way
