We have all made mistakes and what's most important to note is that even some of our prophets made mistakes. For instance, the first man to commit a wrong was our father, Adam a.s. But did Allah swt Himself not teach Adam a s. the supplication to invoke in seeking forgiveness? Then we have Musa a.s. who killed a man. Did Allah not forgive him too? It is this that Sheikh Menk reminds us of in his talk. It's crucial to remember for the sake of our faith that Allah is Most Merciful and that He shall continue to forgive us so long as we seek forgiveness and repent when we err.

1:31.8	One might ask why is it that Allah says don't do certain things?
1:38.2	The reality is when Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says I created you to test you the test includes doing certain things and abstaining from certain things.
1:50.4	So if you are to do things you pass the tests things that you are supposed to do and then you abstain from things you are not supposed to do then do you pass the test.
2:01.4	But Allah calls himself merciful.
2:09.2	We hear that millions of times and we say it too in the name of Allah the most forgiving the most merciful.
2:18.0	Or the most merciful the most merciful SubhanAllah that is the meaning of Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
2:25.2	He calls himself primarily right at the beginning the most merciful.
2:30.4	This would mean if sometimes you fought by not doing what you are supposed to be doing do not lose hope but get back on track as soon as possible.
2:43.2	And if sometimes you did something that you are not supposed to be doing do not lose hope but get back on track as soon as possible because your Lord is merciful.
2:55.2	Amazing.
2:56.4	So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala told Adam alaihi salatu wa salam and his wife Hawa may peace be upon them both.
3:03.8	Allah says.
3:14.2	Do not get close to this particular tree and the fruit from the tree is being spoken about do not get close to it because if you do you will be the losers.
