Walt Disney revolutionized family entertainment on many fronts and in many mediums.

From movie theaters to the creation of the theme park, his work continues to delight audiences of every age.

And in the 1950s, he changed television programming as well with the introduction of the Mickey Mouse Club.

So this week I chat with one of Walt's original mouse cutiers, Bobby Burgess, and discuss how the show came to be, what life was like on set, a typical day, Disneyland, Walt himself, and much more.

Walt Disney was always a visionary and an innovator, from animation to films, theme parks, technology, and yes, even in television.

And in fact, in 1955, for his second venture into this brave new world of entertainment, he once again created a show that would be a breakthrough in the entertainment world and charged the course for children's programming in the future.
