Summary

You and I have come a long way since our very first full length episode on the 1314 Battle of Bannockburn was released first on the History of England Podcast, and then in WDF's feed on 19th May 2012. Here we revisit that chapter of history - exactly 5 years on. I've learned a lot in those five years, and this is essentially an exercise which you may or may not enjoy, where I pretty much take the piss out of my self. Give it a listen and see what you think, as we kick off our craziest project IN HISTORY. We have 5 weeks to run wild history friends, and we haven't even TECHNICALLY started yet! ThanksssssRemember also history friends, to make sure that you BEFIT! 0:37.2

its proper episodic series,

0:38.9

I decided to churn out a few of these kind of unique, unusual episodes, if you like,

0:44.1

to kind of keep us going until then, because it's a party and I don't want it to be

0:47.5

silence when the party's on. In line with this idea, I came up with a kind of plan for a project

0:53.4

that might or might not work, depending on the

0:55.4

mood you're in or how much you like the sound of my voice.

0:58.7

You might have realised, or perhaps you haven't realised, because you got more important things

1:02.5

to think about, that the Franco-Pussian War wasn't actually the very first episode I did.

1:07.4

No, that honour falls to the Bannockburn episode that I did for the history of England as a

1:12.6

kind of guest episode. I then released that episode on Bannock Burn as 0.5 on the podcast feed. And it

1:21.3

kind of sucks, but it was five years ago and I was kind of just finding my feet and all that kind of thing.

1:28.5

But I haven't listened to it in about five years.

1:31.0

I have this like idea that it's just so terrible that I don't want to go anywhere near it.
