got Patrick Lopich. Hello, Daniel Riendo. I'm inspired and provoked. And joining us

for the first time on Waypoints, we have Motherboards, Jason Kobler. Hey, I am so excited

first time long time. Yes, hell yeah. They get their riders or is it like Kebler? It's Kebler,

yeah, but you know what? You know, appreciate Jason. That's the first time. No, not the first

time and also Kobler is like the one that I don't mind. I get Kebler a lot, the elf. Yeah,

one of my other job is to get it done. Yeah, I wasn't going to fly your Kebler into that.

All right. So Patrick, I think the story that you are leading, like that you picked out

for this week, that when we first talked about it, you were just, you know, in the grips

of it, the story was sending shivers up your spine. It's called, what happened after my

son joined the alt, right? It's a piece at the Washingtonian. And why don't you lay out

what this is? Like the broad outlines of the story and then we can get into it. Yeah, the

broad outlines, it's written anonymously and there is a student and given to a 13 year

old son named Sam who essentially as a result of an incident at school in which what's alleged

you depicted in the piece is that a joke between two friends was interpreted by one of the

girls in their class to be a former sexual harassment. Something that was said to them, it's

not really made explicit what was happening there. That's one of a number of parts of the

piece that are, we'll pick get into that I think are worth picking apart. As a result,

the school comes down very hard on the sun, like sort of ostracizes him before his parents
