| 1:17.8 | Funderberg. He was on the board of LADWP back in 2017 during that billing scandal, the bribery |

| 1:28.1 | went to prison, including another attorney. What we're hearing here is that Bill Funderberg was serving |
| 1:34.1 | on the board. You have to go back several years to what was at the core of this corruption case. First, |
| 1:42.0 | a billing situation, ratepayers saying, hey, we're getting |
| 1:44.9 | overcharged. So a class action lawsuit was filed. And one of the attorneys who was representing |
| 1:49.8 | the city's interest was kind of working both sides, also working with the ratepayers, got in |
| 1:55.3 | trouble for that. But he was also behind the launch of a company that was supposed to fix |
| 2:00.3 | these issues and was trying to finagle his way into getting a $30 million contract from the board to help solve the problem in the first place. |
