The United States has reached another grim milestone in its fight against coronavirus.

New data shows that more than one in 500 Americans

has died of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. One in 500 Americans. According to an NBC

news tally, there have been more than 670,000 deaths from coronavirus in the United States. Over the past

week, the U.S. had an average of more than 152,000 new infections

each day. So far, about 54% of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated. About 63% have received

at least one dose. In just a matter of days, the FDA will meet to review whether booster shots

will be necessary for the majority of adults in the U.S.

who are now vaccinated. That decision comes as we await word on when vaccines will be available
