Thanks for starting your day with us. And we'll begin this morning with the race for the White House and a meandering, live-filled news conference from former president Donald Trump yesterday. With Vice President Kamala Harris riding a wave of momentum, Trump looked to put himself back atop the news cycle by holding a 75-minute presser at his Florida home and country club.

For more than an hour, Trump took questions from members of the media.

But as is often the case, his answers were light on the facts and heavy on personal attacks.
