With just days left before the United States is scheduled to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, the State Department is frantically trying to track down any remaining American

citizens. Despite the upcoming deadline, Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken says the U.S. will

stay for as long as it takes to finish evacuations. Let me be crystal clear about this.

to help any remaining American citizens

who decide they want to leave to do so,

along with the many Afghans

who have stood by us over these many years

and want to leave and have been unable to do so.
