Donald Trump returned to the platform formerly known as Twitter last night for a live stream with Elon Musk.

But the event was delayed by technical issues, and when it did work, the former president filled the time with his usual false claims.

Meanwhile, the FBI says it's investigating efforts to hack both presidential campaigns.

And we'll begin this morning with a wide-ranging conversation

between for-president Donald Trump and ex-Twitter owner Elon Musk on the Tesla CEO's

social media site. After criticizing each other strongly in the past, Trump and Musk displayed

a warmed relationship last night with at one point, 1.3 million people

listening on X spaces. That's at its peak. However, the event was delayed for about 40 minutes

by technical difficulties. Musk blamed a cyber attack for the issues, a claim that could not be verified, and we should note

the rest of Twitter was working just fine while they were struggling to get their conversation

going. So once things finally got underway, the pair spoke for more than two hours with Trump

doing most of the talking. But the former president's words

were extremely slurred as he foed in from Mar-a-Lago in front of a flattering painting of himself.

Here's some of what Trump had to say.

I know Putin very well. I got along with him very well. He respected me, and it's just one of those

things. And we would talk a lot about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye. But I said, don't ever do it. Don't

ever do it. You can't do it, Vladimir. You do it. It's going to be a bad day. You cannot do it.
