and former president Donald Trump is now just hours away from his first scheduled court appearance as a federal criminal defendant. But there are some growing questions about whether

the hearing can take place as scheduled. The former president is set to appear in a Miami courtroom at 3 p.m.

to be arraigned on a 37-count federal criminal indictment for his alleged mishandling of classified

documents after he left the White House. This, of course, makes him the first ever former president

to be charged with a federal crime.

The source tells NBC news that Trump flew from his Bedminster, New Jersey home to South Florida yesterday with attorney Todd Blanche, who will represent him at today's hearing.

But it's not clear who else might also represent Trump at the hearing, if anyone.

Now, Blanche is a New York-based lawyer.
