Thanks for starting your day with this. We begin in New York City, where history will be made today, when Donald J. Trump becomes the first president of the United

States to be charged criminally. At about 2.15 this afternoon, Trump is expected to turn himself

in to hear charges related to a payment he allegedly made to

adult film star Stormy Daniels back in 2016 to keep her silent about a previous sexual encounter

she says they had about a decade earlier. Yesterday, the former president arrived at Trump

Tower in Manhattan and waved to a group of his supporters before entering his old home.

Due to security concerns, sources tell NBC News that Trump will not be handcuffed or take a

traditional perp walk ahead of his arraignment. What we see inside the courthouse will also be limited.
