The question is, will Wall Street actually pressure Trump to

which are expected to cost consumers thousands. The question is, how will Republicans defend those

higher prices to their constituents? Plus, we'll go through the new reporting that Elon Musk could soon leave

We'll see if the same can be said for Musk. I'm Ali Vitale on this Thursday, April 3rd, and we'll start with the news. Wall Street is reacting sharply overnight to President Trump's

sweeping tariffs on most major trade partners

with the United States. The Dow futures were down as much as a thousand points, while the

S&P 500 and the NASDAQ have each lost around 3%. The president is imposing 10% tariffs on imports

from all countries across the board set to take effect on Saturday. Trump also announced larger taxes on dozens of countries that he and his administration,

say, have treated the U.S. unfairly.

These so-called reciprocal tariffs hit the United States' largest trading partners,

but it's not clear how Trump or the White House even calculated those numbers.

Got some ideas, but it's murky.
