Good morning and welcome to way too early, the show that is always up for a little push in

the right direction. I am Casey Hunt on this Monday, March 29th. We'll start

with the news. The latest ABC News, Ipsos poll, shows widespread approval for President Biden's

top priorities. Seventy-five percent approve of his handling of vaccine distribution.

72 percent approve of his handling of the pandemic overall, and 60% approve of how he's

handling the economic recovery. And as coronavirus vaccinations ramp up, the United States has hit a

new daily record of shots administered. According to CDC data, nearly 3.4 million doses of the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines

were administered across the country on Friday. That brings the U.S. 7-day average of doses

administered to 2.6 million shots per day. And that number is expected to continue rising.

The Biden administration says 11 million doses of Johnson and Johnson's

COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed this week. According to the White House's COVID-19 response

coordinator, the U.S. is still on track to deliver on its goal of making shots available to all

adults by the end of May. Nice to kick off the morning with some good news.

But there is still this.

Even as vaccinations are increasing, some areas of the country are still seeing a rise in COVID cases and a plateau in hospitalizations.
