Good morning. Welcome to way too early. I'm Casey Hunt on this Wednesday, March 17th. We're starting this morning with breaking news. A Georgia man is in custody accused of killing eight people in a horrific shooting spree at three different massage parlors in the Atlanta area yesterday. The spree began around 5 p.m. when police say 21-year-old Robert Aaron Long

walked into Young's massage parlor in Cherokee County, that's about 30 miles north of Atlanta,

and opened fire, killing four people and injuring one other. Police say he then drove south

to Atlanta and shot and killed three people inside the gold spa.

After that, we're told he crossed the street to another business, the aromatherapy spa, and killed

another woman. Investigators say surveillance video shows long in his car at all three crime scenes.

He was arrested driving south about 150 miles from Atlanta. Officials say six of the

eight victims appear to be Asian, and police are investigating the possibility that the attacks

were racially motivated. This comes amid an increase in attacks on the Asian community since

the coronavirus pandemic. The New York Police Department says it will deploy counterterrorism officers to Asian communities in the city out of an abundance of caution.

We're going to keep following this story all morning and bring you any new developments as they happen.

But let's go now to the White House and coronavirus,

with the White House aiming to distribute more than 22 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine

in the next week. That would be a new record in the U.S. fight to contain the coronavirus.

States are expected to receive more than 16 million doses of the three approved vaccines.

That's slightly higher than what they got last week.

Federally administered programs such as max vaccination sites and community health centers will

receive most of those doses. And the increase in supply comes as more states lift their

eligibility criteria to receive vaccines. And in an interview with Fox News last night, former President

Trump encouraged his supporters to get a coronavirus vaccine, but added a caveat that everyone

has the freedom to choose whether or not to do so. I would recommend it, and I would recommend

it to a lot of people that don't want to get it,
