Ukrainian president, Voldemir Zelensky is set to make a rare virtual address to Congress this morning as the fighting rages on and the attacks in Kiev intensify.

More help is also headed Ukraine's way. President Biden is expected to announce a fresh round of military aid later today, and NATO defense ministers are set to meet

to discuss sending, quote,

substantially more forces to its eastern flank.

And a daring show of moral support yesterday,

as three Eastern European prime ministers

visited the Ukrainian president in Kiev,

even as the capital city came under fierce

fire.

In just a few hours, Ukrainian president, Voldemir Zelensky, will virtually address both chambers

of the U.S. Congress.

Zelensky is expected to thank lawmakers for the $13.6 billion in aid already passed on the

hill and make the case for even more assistance. The Ukrainian president has been relentless in his

calls for NATO to enforce a no-fly zone over his country

and is pleading for fighter jets in the war against Russia.

But so far, the U.S. has refrained from granting either request.

As I report for Politico this morning,

the speech will surely increase the pressure on President Biden to do more.

Yesterday, senators discussed what more could be done for Ukraine and what to expect from

today's speech.
