Welcome to another episode of preferred walk-on a college football show, Max Chadwick, alongside Dalton Wasserman and Dalton, 2026 NFL draft, is officially in the books, but it is never, ever, ever too early to look ahead to the following year,

especially when the following draft looks to be as special as the 2027 one.

So what we're going to do today is a way too early,

2027 NFL mock draft.

I put this together yesterday.

Actually, during day three of the NFL draft, we're using Fan duel Super Bowl odds for the draft order. So don't get mad at us. But where your team is picking in this mock draft, get mad at Fan duel for that. Don't I cannot wait to dive into all of what should be an excellent 2027 class next year. I'm excited, Max. This feels like a day of transition, doesn't it? Right. We had the marathon that is the NFL draft, right? We were sitting around watching all seven rounds of it, seeing, you know, what players that we love from the last couple of years ago and go into what teams, but now we finally get to move forward, right? We get to look forward towards the 2026 college football season, obviously, in the next year's draft class with this exercise as well. And it's also going to be the last mock draft that we do for a while. We're really transitioning now into being the college football show that we were meant to be for the rest of the year. So this is going to be a ton of fun. I'm super excited. And for me, the 2026 college football season starts today. And as of right now, the team that is favored have the number one overall pick in

2026 or 27, I should say, according to Fandu's Super Bowl odds, is the Miami Dolphins.

And I'll start here. Miami Dolphins with the first overall pick in 2027.

They're taking Archmanning, the quarterback out of Texas.

He's a guy that we actually did in our all eligible mock draft.

We want number two overall to your New York Jets, Dalton, but he goes number one overall here

to the to the Miami Dolphins.

He is a really good quarterback.

He improved a lot down the stretch of the season, in my opinion. I think the hype is based on more than just the name in the back of his jersey right now. He proved that down the stretch of the year. He's an excellent processor. Amazing pocket awareness. I think it's really his number one trait in my opinion. Good arm strength, really good runner, way better a mobility than either his uncles had, kind of more of his grandfather's mobility at Archie Manning than his uncles. And I think Archmanning, yeah, he is primed to be maybe the number one overall pick, but at least the top three pick in next year's draft. I know the Dolphins just gave Leak Will as a contract, but if they're the worst team in football next year and they have a chance to get Arch Manning or Julian Sane or Dante Moore, I really think they might pull the trigger and move on to another quarterback. Yeah. And look, this situation, you look at while they just signed Malik Willis, but the bones, the structure of that contract is essentially two years with 45 million guaranteed. So if you want to wait a bit in that second year,

Willis's contract to play Manning before you just throw them into the fire on a team that's still building, then I understand that. But I think to find a real long-term solution at quarterback is going to be big, especially like you mentioned, if they're the number one team overall in this draft, that they're picking first in this draft, it's probably not going very well anyway for Willis or otherwise. So look, Manning really turned it on the second half of last

year. And you want the scouting report? I mean, I've said it over and over again. You're going to hear it for me for the next year. He's a Manning that can run. We haven't had that since his grandpa Archie. And he was a really darn good player. And then, of course, we had Peyton and Eli. So look, you had to get his feet wet.

He had to shake off the cobwebs the first half of last year. I still want to see the accuracy,

the ball placement get a little bit better. But, man, he's got all the potential in the world. And he's every bit. I completely understand why he's the favorite to be number one. And he's got a more legitimate offense he's playing on this year. Cam Coleman out there at receiver, right?

Talk about a legitimate run game with Hollywood Smothers and Relic Brown. Two backs that are

way better to me than anything they had last year. That team's going to have balance. They're going to have weapons. They're going to have a great defense again this year under Will Mush Champ instead of Pete Kwiakowski. Manning's got every reason to shine this year. And if he does, he can be the number one pick. Yeah, Texas seems like

they're one of the top contenders to win it all next year with the roster they have. And if, you know, they win it all next year and maybe Archiban banning is in the high asman conversation, maybe even winning the Heism trophy. You could have like a Fernandezman type of year, but he was a high husband, what was a national title and goes number one over on. Oh, we're getting a little bit ahead of. But then again, that's what we're doing here in this way too early mock draft right now.
