It was before the bombing started, frankly, and we're going to give people a chance to live in a beautiful community that's safe and secure.

And I think you're going to see a tremendous outflowing of support.

I can tell you, I spoke to other leaders of countries in the Middle

East, and they love the idea. They say it would really bring stability, and what we need is

stability. That was President Trump yesterday just after proposing that the United States

should take control of Gaza and permanently displaced Palestinians. The question is, was the president actually serious,

or is this meant to be a distraction from Elon Musk's attempts to reshape the U.S. government?

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is reportedly working on an executive order that would

eliminate the education department. The question there is, can the president actually close the

department without congressional approval?

Probably not.

And we'll bring you the latest from Capitol Hill following key votes yesterday on two of the president's most controversial nominees.

The question is, did Republican senators cave to pressure from Trump and his allies?
