And we'll begin with Democrats celebrating this morning after

former Congressman Tom Swazzi's special election win in New York's third district. The victory

against Nassau County legislator Mazzi Pillup will flip the district from red to blue, cutting

Republicans a razor-thin majority in the House even closer.

Swazi will replace disgrace former Congressman George Santos, who was ousted from Congress last year,

now under criminal indictment. An NBC News source with knowledge of his intentions said that

Swazi could be sworn in as early as tomorrow. The race was perceived by some as a bellwether for November.

Swazi, for his part, noted the national implications

and his victory in New York last night.
