Sources tell NBC news that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will likely delay his

self-imposed deadline to pass President Biden's Build Back Better Plan before the end of the year.

Talks between the president and Senator Joe Manchin have stalled,

and without Manchin, Democrats lack the 50 votes needed to pass the measure with a simple majority.

It's my colleagues at Politico and I reported last night,

the president, though personally fond of Manchin, has grown frustrated with the slow pace of talks,

and that those in the White House are dismayed that Manchin's demands seem to be changing

and they can't pin him down on an agreement. In the meantime, sources are also saying Schumer is hoping

to take action on voting rights now before the end of the year. A group of four moderate Democrats,

including Manchin, have been discussing ways to change the Senate rules to allow for
