Most adults across the U.S. could be able to get a Pfizer booster shot as early as this weekend.

The New York Times reports that the FDA is expected to authorize the dose as soon as tomorrow

for all adults who receive their second dose of the vaccine in the past six months.

Currently, boosters are only available for people at higher risk for severe infection, including

anyone over the age of 65.

Last week, Pfizer requested emergency use authorization for its booster.
