Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people, the Word of God.

We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the Word is alive and active.

We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God

is going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege. All right, Joshua

Chapter 3. Now listen to me. All right, somebody that is brand new with us this weekend is going,

wait a minute. Doesn't that sound just like the other one that was back in Exodus chapter 14? No,

that was the Red Sea. This is the Jordan River. But it just so happens that as God would have

planned it, there was going to be an obstacle of water on both sides when they were exiting

and then when they were coming to their entrance. I want you to see this

with me. We are at seen too. We're at the Jordan River this time, so we're at a freshwater abed this

time instead of salt water. We see that our watermark, tell me those two words. This time, the people of

Israel will cross over on dry ground too, but you and I are going to

draw our parallel from the priests that were commanded to go stand in the water first. You and I,

we will see all sorts of New Testament parallels to many of the concepts that we see in the Old Testament. What was true of them many, many

times in a very tangible literal terms, becomes true for us in spiritual terms. Now, some things are

true literally to them and literally to us, but there are so many metaphors to us in the New

Testament and stronger than metaphors,

they're biblical truths. For instance, they were a literal priesthood that served the people of God

in that day. You and I, according to 1 Peter chapter 2, we are the priests of God. So when we look

back at the people of God, all of us, all of us who have received Christ

as Savior, we are part of the priesthood.
