This week we're on the historical Waterloo battlefield where veterans are modern wars many of them with disabilities

and mental scars are joining archaeologists to excavate remains of one of the most

important conflicts in European history. We'll find out later what they've been

uncovering.

UK. Now first this week, fueled by cheap calories and sugar-saturated treats and drinks that are far too

tempting to resist, the world finds itself in a

grip of an obesity epidemic with over a third of the human race now overweight.

Carrying excess weight is a major risk factor for a range of disorders including diabetes high blood

pressure heart attack strokes and joint problems and given the rate at which the problem

is growing advice about healthy eating and calorie control is clearly not working.

But might it be possible to produce an anti-obicity pill

that can control how the intestine absorbs calories?
