Hello and how are you?

The story this week is from Guyana, a country which is at the top of South America.

The name Guyana means land of many waters.

It's got sea and waterfalls, rivers and lots of rainforests.

We've been looking at stories about giants and witches and monsters and ogres.

And the creature we're going to hear about today is a scary water spirit called watermama

who is often talked about but rarely seen.

You have to be a bit brave to listen to this story because the watermama is rather creepy.

or one of our funny trickster stories like how the elephant got its trunk or anancy and the hot pepper soup.

It might be tubes telling of how the whale got its sad song or Kate's how the river Shannon became

or how the rainbow got into the sky or whichever how and why story is your all time favourite.
