Hello everyone and welcome to slash film daily. Today is Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. On today's episode of the show, we are going to gather around the virtual water cooler and talk about what we've been up to. My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at slash film.com and I'm joined on today's episode by slash film editor Brad Olin. Hey, that's me.

0:17.0

All right, Brad, let's get into it. What have you been doing recently?

0:20.0

Well, last week, I went down to Indianapolis to the Sweets and Snacks Expo.

0:26.0

This is an event that I went to for the first time last year when it was in Chicago,

0:31.0

but last year it was apparently the last time it would be in Chicago because it's now moved to Indianapolis, and apparently it's going to go back and forth between Indy and Las Vegas, at least for a little while, for the next few years.

0:42.0

So, since it still wasn't too far away from me,

0:44.6

I took some time to go down there

0:46.2

and check it out.

0:47.1

So if you haven't heard about this before,

1:16.2

all the different companies that are involved in creating and distributing snacks.

1:20.3

Now it's not open to the public but because I run my Brad's junk Instagram page at

1:25.6

look at Brad's junk if you want to check it out I was able to apply as media and go and

1:31.1

basically you know cover it as if it were like comic

1:33.5

you know because it's basically like snack comic on so is there the equivalent of

1:38.0

a Hall H and like presentations or is it just the show floor? So there are panels and presentations

1:44.7

and stuff like that, but like,

1:46.3

it's not the kind of thing where like,

1:48.0

you know, you go and see, oh man, Kellogg's

1:51.1

a great panel over in Hall H.
