Hello, everybody. Welcome to Three Point Perspective, the podcast about illustration, how to do it,

I'm Lee White. And I'm Will Terry. And all three of us are professional illustrators. And we've all

worked for just about all the major publishers in the business.

We've all published together somewhere around 50 or 70 books. And we've all taught

illustration at university art school programs. That is correct. Each week we pick a different

topic in illustration. We take questions from people just like you. Try to answer

them as best we can. Sometimes we're going to fight. Sometimes we're going to agree. But each time

you're going to learn something, Brant's bank and new. Brands bank and new. All right, follow up from

last week. Last week we got a question from Beverly.

And her, I don't know if you remember, but her thing was like, seriously, how do I get work?

And we talked about it, we answered it.

But one of the things we couldn't, we couldn't fully answer it without seeing what her work looked like.

Because that is, is like that's a

huge factor in whether you could do everything right and not get work because maybe your

artwork doesn't doesn't match the kind of work you're trying to get right and I don't I don't say

that like you have to be a great artist to get work because there are artists who have very rudimentary skill, but they've leaned in hard on not being able to draw well.

Like I think about Mr. Doodle. Do you guys know Mr. Doodle?

I don't know if you've seen it.

He's got like two or three million followers on Instagram.

We don't have little kids at home.
