Collections that you see throughout all these things you know sort of speak to that you

know there are some multi-million dollar collections and then there are some you know on the

other end of the spectrum but it's it's about the ethos of collecting it's about the person it's about the ethos of collecting, it's about the

person, it's about the stories behind them

We're kicking off our first ever Watch Madness Talking Watches tournament.

There are 53 episodes of Talking Watches, our flagship video series, and in some way our flagship

editorial product.

And they've been recorded over the last seven or eight years, and we thought it would be fun

to assemble them all together, put them into a March Madness style bracket, and let you, the readers and

listeners, vote on your favorites. So what we're going to do is over the next couple of weeks,

you'll have the opportunity every day to visit

Hodinke and to cast your vote on who you think should win in head-to-head episode

match-ups. Some of the match-ups include Gary Steingart versus Andre Iguidala, Tony Fidel versus John Mayer's second episode,

and Mario Andretti against Jack Nicholas. This is pretty wild stuff. Before that

though we wanted to get a group of our editors together to give you a little preview.

So I got Ben and Will and James and Kara together, and we decided to talk about the history of talking watches, what the show means to each of us, and then get really deep into each

matchup, giving you a play-by-play, previews of the collections, and who we think might come out victorious.
