All right everybody it's September 29th 2022. I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin report and obviously it's a little bit of a rough day

here in Florida. As you guys know I'm in Miami, but Southwest Florida. Miami, of course, is Southeast Florida.

Southwest Florida has been absolutely

ravaged. I mean, I don't even know the word to say by Harcanean, which basically came in and hit landfall

just a tick under a category five hurricane, but it wasn't just the strength of the hurricane. This thing was absolutely

massive, massive, massive. It then went kind of up the coast and now it's more inland

where now it's a tropical storm, but it has done just extraordinary, absolutely devastating

damage to my new home and a place I'm very proud to call home and a place that I truly love and I think is a beacon of freedom

for not only the United States, but for the entire world. So we're gonna talk a little bit about

the hurricane. I'm gonna show you some videos. We're gonna talk about proper leadership

during the hurricane and competency and all of that stuff, but I know a bunch of you have been emailing and asking,

we're totally fine here in Miami. I've got a generator. We do have a leak in the roof. It's been raining for a couple days.

It's easing up right now. Actually, the weather is pretty decent right now, but I'll talk a little bit more about what I know

and some personal stuff related to Southwest Florida, which is an area that Naples Fort Myers,

Sanable Captive Area, an area that I've been going through my entire life that I absolutely, absolutely love.

But there were just crazy videos. I'm not gonna belabor it too much for you guys because I'm sure you've seen it,

but there were just unbelievably insane videos of houses being pulled away and boats piling up on top of each other.

15 to 17 foot storm surge. Really just crazy stuff, but I want to focus a little bit since we do politics around here.

You know, these natural disasters happen all the time. We have hurricanes and fires and

also and earthquakes and all sorts of things that happen all the time. And some of it is,

it's up to God or whatever you want to call it. It's up to the universe, to the earth, to whatever it is.

And humans can do a certain amount to mitigate the damage and for days now, Florida has been doing everything possible.
