Hello and welcome to our continuing coverage in the case against Brian Koberger.

My name is Tony Bruske. We are about to join the court feed here shortly in Moscow, Idaho, of the State v. Brian Coburger.

We're going to be going into the hearing that is set to take place here in just a few moments.

This hearing is a hearing that is going to be changing the plea.

It is a change of plea hearing from not guilty to guilty

in the trial of Brian Coburger. At least that's what we're expecting. Judge Hippler expected to

rule on that today and expected to accept the plea, but there is no guarantee on that, which is

important to note in a case like this because there has been very,

very strong opposition from the families in this case.

At least some of the families, Steve Gonzalez speaking out very vehemently about this, saying

that this is not at all what he wants, urging people to

contact the judge directly and let them know, let the judge know that this is not in the wishes

of the families. So we have yet to see exactly how this should all play out. Very likely the judge

will accept the plea. We don't have any real reason to think that he would not,

but anything is possible. This judge seems to have been a little bit more tight on things than our previous judge.

Trial obviously has been moved to Boise for publicity reasons to prevent or at least lower the odds of having a jury that is too influenced by the media coverage of this very, very high profile case that we've been now following for you for roughly three years.

As soon as the court gets into session, we're going to go live to that so you can take a look at what is happening and we will watch the hearing together.
