starts since, the best eight games starts since.

Last week, it was a win over the Giants, will mean seven and two for the first time since 1996.

But this week's historical reference, if you will, is a bit more substantial. A win over the Steelers Sunday means

8 and 2, and that would be the best start for this franchise since 1991. Yeah, 1991. The 91

Redskins who won Super Bowl 26 and became a team that to this day is discussed as one of the greatest teams of all time.

No, I'm not about to go off the deep end here and compare this year's team to the 91 skins. I'm not that delusional. Not yet

anyway. Obviously, this year's team isn't remotely comparable to that team 33 years ago. The 91

team was great because it was complete. They were the highest scoring team in the league.

They gave up the fewest points in the league.

They had a point differential during that regular season of plus 261.

They beat teams by an average of 16 points per game.
