Hey, good morning. It's Paige Browning. It's Monday. This is Seattle now. We're deep in viral

illness season. The good news is RSV and COVID hospital visits declined in January.

The bad news is for the flu.

Vaccination rates are low and flu hospital visits have soared, peaking at 4% at the end of January.

A major culprit behind that is that children are not getting vaccinated.

Dr. Elizabeth Mead, a pediatrician from Swedish, will talk us through this trend.

Washington state lawmakers will host a public hearing this afternoon on organized retail theft.

Under the bipartisan proposal,

an additional year would be added to someone's sentence if the property they stole is worth $20,000

or more, two more years if it's worth more than $50,000. We'll drop a link in the show notes if you

around the use of less lethal weapons
