Hey, good morning. I'm Patricia Murphy. It's Wednesday. This is Seattle now. Gambling in Washington

State can be a challenge. If you want to bet on your favorite sports team, you have to physically go to a casino.

But prediction markets like Kalshi and Robin Hood are just a download away.

They say they're different from traditional gambling apps and are willing to go to court to prove it.

let's get you caught up. Future funding for the Seattle Public Library is up for a vote today.

A new levy proposal would raise $410 million to pay for essential services. The property tax measure replaces an expiring levy from 2019 and would cost a median homeowner about $160 a year.

Today's vote by the City Council's select committee would clear the way for the levy to head to voters this August.

Also at City Hall today, Mayor Katie Wilson will give an update on her plan to

rapidly expand emergency shelter space in Seattle. Wilson's proposal calls for opening

1,000 new units of shelter and emergency housing this year. Tonight's event is billed as a community

briefing. Business leaders and service providers will be there as well.
