Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last Searchlight program, we began a very important study in John Chapter 13.

In this chapter, Jesus is in the upper room with his disciples, just hours before he is to go to the cross.

And Jesus begins sharing with them about love.

Essentially, Jesus is going to share with them that the most important thing to remember

about ministry and about life is love.

But before he talks to them, he gives an example to them.

Let's now join Pastor John as we see a marvelous example of the love of Jesus.

Jesus, verse 3, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, that he was

come from God and went to God, rose from supper, laid aside his garments, and took a towel,

and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a basin and began to wash the

disciples feet and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded then

cometh he to Simon Peter and Peter saith unto him Lord does thou wash my feet
