Summary

(00:00-25:10) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query live from Parks Place Pub for the first ever Pro Volleyball Draft for the Indy Ignite! Jake shares some of his thoughts on the Colts losing to the Chiefs in overtime yesterday and Shane Steichen’s play calling in the fourth quarter and overtime. Indy Ignite opposite hitter Camryn Hannah joins Jake Query to discuss her transition from Las Vegas to Indianapolis, if she found it hard to be focused while playing in Vegas, the environment she experienced as an opponent of the Ignite at the Fishers Event Center last year, and the fan turn out on the Monday before Thanksgiving for the draft.

(25:10-39:17) – The voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, Don Fischer, joins Jake Query to explain why the bye week came at the most ideal time for Curt Cignetti’s team, highlights the ability of coaching staff to have players ready to fill in if the starter is sidelined with an injury, previews tomorrow’s basketball game against a potent Kansas State offense, and shares one of the concerns he has about the basketball team as conference play quickly approaches.

(39:17-44:13) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake sharing some more thoughts on the Colts loss to the Chiefs yesterday in relation to the start of the season to now.

(44:13-1:13:05) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59, makes his weekly appearance on Query & Company on a Monday to recap the previous Colts game. Mike assesses the second half struggles from Shane Steichen and Daniel Jones, examines how the secondary performed in a game where Patrick Mahomes set a season high in passing yards, and calls next week’s game against Houston the biggest game of the year (to this point).

(1:13:05-1:21:14) – On Friday night, the Purdue Boilermakers dominated the Texas Tech Red Raiders for the Baha Mar Championship. Jake calls Purdue the most complete team in the country and explains why he thinks that they should be the favorite to win the national championship the entire season, barring injury.

(1:21:14-1:30:53) – Indy Ignite’s Azhani Tealer joins the show with Jake Query to share her thoughts on the two selections that the Ingite have made today in the draft so far, what it means to be a role model for young girls and women that are trying to become a professional volleyball player, growing up in Texas, and how much fun she has playing in Indianapolis.

(1:30:53-1:54:09) – The final hour of Query & Company kicks off with Jake Query discussing what happened in Kansas City yesterday for the Indianapolis Colts and what he saw from Shane Steichen yesterday. Akeem Glaspie from the IndyStar joins the show to recap the Butler Bulldogs taking the Greenbrier Tip-Off over the weekend by defeating Virginia. He explains what kind of style of play the Bulldogs want to have this season with Thad Matta and answers some get-to-know-you questions from Jake.

(1:54:09-2:01:09) – Indy Ignite’s Blake Mohler joins the show as the final guest on today’s show to discuss what kind of style of play the team will have next season with new head coach Lauren Berolacci, why she loves going to Park Place Pub after home games at the Fishers Event Center, and comments on the love from the fans in just one season.

(2:01:09-2:12:14) – Today’s show closes out with Jake highlighting some replies he got to his tweet yesterday and JMV joining Jake from the studio to preview his show!

You are not going to believe the company. This company. You're going to bankrupt your mom's company. At least I have the radio to keep me company. On 935 and 1075, the fan. Jones out of the gun. Taylor the back left. And motion down to the right side is Ogletree. Back in to throw is Jones. Looking. Fires into the end zone. And it's a catch for a touchdown, and it's Drew Ogletree! Kansas City going right to left in your mind's eye. Mahomes in his own end zone looking to pass. Throws over the middle, run after the catch. 25, 30-yard line. Over the far sideline, 40, 45, 50-yard line and being pushed out of balance is rashirice

that is the fourth consecutive drive for the Colts on offense three and out the. Mahomes backs to throw, five-step drop, looking, looking, throws over the middle, that's a catch inside the 30-yard line, run after that grab, and they give himself up on the slide. That's Rishie Rice inside the 25 to the 24-yard line. Bucker out of the timeout and measures it up again. This is from 27 yards in overtime. Game tied at 20. A rise to put it down. Waiting on the short snap. Snap. Placement. Kick is up. And it is good for the Chiefs. The defense did a great job, getting the takeaways. You know, when we get a backed up situation. We got to get ourselves out of that situation.

That's a three-in-out there.

1:46.0

And then we had another three-in-out, and then we had another three-in-out.

1:48.3

So anytime you have three-in-outs and you're not moving the ball efficiently, it's going to be hard for anyone to win football games. And we've got to be better. I've got to be better. That's how it sounded yesterday.

That is because it is the draft party for the Indy Ignite, the professional volleyball league, and they have a number of events going on in the Indy Ignite.

2:38.3

And I think, listen, I made no bones about this a year ago, the fact that when I went out for the first time and went to a game there at the Fisher's Event Center, I was blown away by not only the athleticism, the quality of play, but the enthusiasm for it.
