Hi, let's get right into it. Today I want to talk about Godshots. Now whether you're

religious, whether you're atheist, whether you believe in a higher power

or not or agnostic, it doesn't actually really matter.

It's a phrase that we have in recovery and it basically means an unexpected sign, a profound happening

that cannot be explained, that can seemingly not be explained. And these God shots have been happening to me. I've been

actually noticing them since I've been in recovery. They've probably been

happening long before my recovery journey. But I want to talk about them today. Now this is totally

spur of the moment. I initially was like okay Laura just order pineapple on

pizza and just talk about pineapple on pizza in this episode because I want

to lighten things up and the amount of people nagging me to try pineapple on pizza is

wild because I posted a story saying the idea that made repulsed me.

So I do want to give that a chance.

But I looked up the pizza place and they're not open yet so I thought okay whatever I'm just going to

talk about what's going on right now in my life so this morning I had a pretty epic

argument with a family member and I wouldn't say that I'm argumentative at this point in my life.

When I was, you know, certainly a teenager and early 20s, I would say that I was.

And I also really struggled to control my emotions. I would

just completely lose control my emotions. I would scream, I would just completely lose control. I remember when I was a kid

punching walls, punching, you know, windows.

There was this one time at a party where a girl,

now remember I'm six feet tall.

A girl who was five feet tall came up to me and she was upset because her ex boyfriend invited me to this high school party and she came up to me and she was jealous or whatever, you know, high school shit.
