You know, if you've been online this past week, a lot of nostalgia going on, a lot of talk about 2016 being 10 years ago.

0:06.6

Let's talk about, was the NBA better in 2016 or now in 2026?

0:12.0

We're going to talk about every facet of the league and you decide who, which era had it better.

0:17.0

Okay, okay.

0:17.9

So let's start this conversation by talking about the superstars of the league.

0:20.7

Here I have the top five players in both years to my estimation, which I think is pretty much right, given consensus. Which era had the better superstars at the top of the league? We have LeBron, Curry, Durant, Hardin, and Kauai in 2016, Yokic, Shea, Janus, Luca, Ant-man this year. I feel like this is crazy, man.

0:38.8

So I'm going to decide this because even on both sides, like, for the, and it's like,

0:43.9

overall, the superstars were great on both sides.

0:46.2

But in 2016, we're looking at that general top five.

0:49.7

For those top five guys have MVPs on the other side, three of the top five guys

0:54.0

have MVP's is the gap between three of the top five guys have

0:54.2

have MVPs is the gap between lebron and curry or lebron and kd bigger than the gap between

1:02.0

yokech and shay or yokin yonis so you're saying was lebron clearly the best point in the world

1:07.3

more than yokech's yeah no in 2016 no this is when Curry had his unanimous MVP season.

1:12.1

So this is the year where Curry was the closest you could possibly imagine to LeBron.

1:15.7

However, middle of 2016, we're just going calendar year.

1:20.3

At the end of June, they blow a 3-1 lead and everyone kind of, you know, throws that off to the side.

1:26.2

So once we like got back to earth

1:29.0

and july first hit and the new the new NBA season started are we thinking like oh yeah currie's not

1:34.7

there like is he is he no okay i remember very very like you know what i'm saying because that

1:40.2

that went out the window as soon as they lost. Either way, we had a second player.

1:44.7

Either way, the top three in 2016 is better than I think the 2026. Yeah, I agree. There was the first time ever in LeBron's, not career, but in his like prime prime where people were actually considering like, yeah, I'd rather have some like Steph Curry on my team over. It was a conversation to his point. It definitely was a conversation. Yeah, And that's never been a conversation when it comes to Duran or any, obviously anyone else
