Hello again, I'm Armin Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues Americans care about most.

The FBI created a firestorm over digital privacy by taking Apple to court and demanding access to the iPhone

of a terrorist killed in San Bernardino. Now the Bureau says, never mind, at least for the moment.

Turns out that somebody else may have figured a way to break Apple's encryption. That's raising a host of

questions. Doesn't the FBI have its own hackers? Is Apple's vaunted security all it's cracked

up to be? Should a private company become a surveillance arm of the government in the interest

of national security? We'll hear a variety of answers. Today's talking point, a surprising
