Summary

Sure, there was an allusion to it with mention of Iran and nuclear proliferation, but the word ’terror’ was only
mentioned three times in the two hour debate! Are the Democratic candidates in denial? At a loss for how to win the
war on terror?

When asked - for a lightening round: What is the biggest geopolitical threat to the U.S. in one word? the candidates
mentioned Russia, climate change, China, nuclear proliferation, Iran and even Donald Trump - but no one actually
mentioned ISIS or Al Qaeda or terror attacks.

And Cory Booker, the Senator from New Jersey, was the only candidate who wouldn't pledge to rejoin the Iran nuclear
deal - the doomed agreement President Obama made, and President Trump was brave and foresighted enough to
get us out of because Iran could not be trusted to live up to their part.

The big topic these candidates did talk about was immigration. But, in their eagerness to open the borders, they
failed to acknowledge that ISIS has been recruiting terrorists to gain entry through Mexico and perpetrate attacks
in the U.S.

1:14.0

three times? Each of those words were mentioned once. So altogether, three times in the whole

It really was kind of a snooze, but, and really kind of sad that, that this is what we have.

1:50.3

I mean, I know this was only the first debate, but, you know, we have to see what's coming up. Perhaps there are some more interesting candidates, more candidates that we can feel are strong enough to lead this country. My favorite,

1:59.7

and I will tell you why in a bit, but my favorite, and I don't really know anything more about him than what I saw at the debate, other than knowing that he went to Yale law school, and he was the mayor of Newark, and then now he is a senator from New Jersey, and that is

2:20.3

Cory Booker. He is the only one, well, I'll tell you now, and I'll get back to it. They asked,

2:27.3

well, they asked about who, he was the only one who wanted to keep his options open in regard to the Iran nuclear deal.

2:40.9

So I'll get back to that. But anyway, everybody else was really kind of a snooze and it's really kind of scary.
