On today's show, the Warriors have hired both Sean Livingston and Leandro Barbosa to roles on the team,

and Eric Pascal narrowly makes the NBA's all-rooky first team.

I'll talk about all of that and what it means for the Warriors.

The Warriors have hired Leandro Barbosa as a player mentor coach.

Barbosa was, of course, a part of the 2015 championship team and was a favorite among fans.

Now, after a couple of years playing professionally in Brazil, Barbossa will join Steve Kerr's

coaching staff.

And in his new role, Barbossa will assist players in skill development,

Finland during scrimmages and offer

Golden States, youngsters' advice on game days. He will sit behind the bench where he could still

advise the players on the front bench. In some ways, he could help replace the loss of Steve Nash.

Of course, Nash was a Warriors consultant over the last several years, but recently took a

head coaching job with the Brooklyn Nets. Barbosa actually credits Natch with teaching him much of

the game, and those are lessons that he can pass on to the young players like Jordan Poole and

Eric Paskill, and of course, whoever else the Warriors add this offseason including

with the number two overall draft pick. Another key part of this to me is how Steve Kerr continues

to expand the player development part of his staff. This could signal that the Warriors aim

to maintain a group of young players in the immediate future. The Warriors over the years
