reporters Awards Podcast. I'm the host Scott Feinberg and today we have a

guest befitting this milestone, the legendary producer, director, writer, and actor, Warren Beatty, who has not granted many interviews over his decades in the business and had never done a podcast before we sat down at his home in Beverly Hills to record an extra in-depth conversation about his remarkable

life and career. Beatty, who will turn 80 on March 30th, has been making movies for 55 years.

His credits include, of course, Splendor in the Grass, Bonnie and Clyde, McCabe and Mrs. Miller,

The Parallax View, Shampoo, Heaven Can Wait, Reds, Dick Tracy, Bugsy, Bullworth, and now rules don't apply, the first film in which

he's acted in 15 years and the first he's directed in 18 years, which will open AFI

Fest on November 10th and then hit theaters on November 23rd.

Considering the length of Beatty's career, he hasn't made many movies, but his batting average

is as high as anyone's, and we go through his entire filmography. A fun fact, Beatty was

Oscar nominated as a producer, director, writer, and actor on both Heaven Can Wait,

and Reds. A quartet of Noms, only one other person ever has claimed for a single film, Orson Wells for Citizen

Kane.

Beatty also won the best director, Oscar, Four Reds, 35 years ago, and in 1999 he was awarded the Academy's highest honor for a producer, the

Irving G. Thalberg Award.
