So I feel like the people that the die-hard Florida State softball fans who come to the

plex and pack theplex and come to games and check your guy score whenever you're playing

know your story but I feel like a lot of the Florida State fans probably don't know your story and I know you've probably told it thousands of times but I'd like to kind of be a thousand and one here

Yeah, sure kind of go back to a little bit back to New Zealand. Yep. So you've got so much experience in baseball, softball, and cricket.

Is that common? Are you playing all three? Is that common?

You know, if you just kind of share some of that with us.

Yeah, no, in New Zealand, the big sports are rugby and cricket so in the

summertime you play your cricket in the winter time you'd play rugby so I grew up

played a couple of years of cricket didn't really enjoy that and got into the game of softball which my dad played.

So I was nine years of age, started playing men's fast-fetched softball,

but were boys and then got into the men's game.

So grew up playing softball.

Then when I was 19 years of age I got seen by an

Atlanta brave scout on a softball field. So I then came over to the US and

played my first ever baseball game at Spring Training with the Atlanta Brave.

So you want to talk about like an eye opening, like go halfway around the world, play a sport

you've never played before and but it was always something I wanted to do.

I'd always dreamed of getting the opportunity. So grew up in softball, played eight years of minor league

baseball, then got back in to play in some more softball, did some work with

New Zealand Cricket Association,

try to figure out what's life going to be like after professional baseball.

You start and you think, oh yeah, I'm going to go play in the big leagues,
