So in this installment, we're going to discuss the Aleutian Islands campaign.

If I were writing a book, as opposed to a serialized podcast, this is a point where I would make an editorial judgment and move this chapter earlier in the narrative. Instead of chapter 45, I would move this up to chapter 42, maybe.

Due to the broad, chronological scope of the Aleutian Islands campaign,

I think it would have fit better there. We just talked about events of late November

in 1943, but I'm about to set the clock back to mid-1942, to set the scene, then spend most

of the episode in mid-1943. So it's not terribly out of place, but I do feel the

pacing is a little off. But alas, these are the shortcomings of podcasting, so we just have
