edible award winner for 2019 out of Beggio seeds. I actually saw these in their natural habitat at

Beggio when I was visiting on my National Garden Bureau tour and it blew my mind

that you could grow a potato from seed.

As you know from the potato content I've been putting out over the course of this year,

most of the time you're growing a potato from a seed potato,

also known as a tuber which is basically just a

potato that someone saved and prepared in a certain way over the course of a season

so that you can then grow it the next year. That's how commercial growers have been growing potatoes

for decades and decades and decades.

So out of Beggio, you have the potato seed

and it's about the size of a kernel of Kienwa. It's very, very small.

And so what I've got here are seeds that are pelletized, so they're a little bit easier to handle.

They germinate really easy and they take about 30 to 45 days to grow from seed to
