In the three months from July to September, China's economy grew 4.6% on year.

For decades, its strong economic growth was the envy of the world.

But China's recovery after the pandemic and a host of domestic and international challenges,

including a crisis in the real estate sector and trade spats with the world's largest economies

has seen it slow in recent years. The property sector, a pillar of China's economic

engines, showed signs of further slowdown in the month of September.

In recent weeks Beijing has announced a raft of interventions

all aim to support the property market

and encourage people to spend money.
