Welcome to watch diary. I'm Ryan Snelling. We're here to discuss the penultimate episode of WandaVision. It's episode eight. I'm joined as always by Ace Cabrera. What's up, man? How are you?

0:16.0

How's it going, man? Man, one episode left. That's wild.

0:20.0

Yeah, it didn't feel like going into this episode that I'd be watching. Like, I didn't anticipate the kind of episode that we were going to get at all. And so I don't know if that's why I'm still a little wide-eyed.

0:32.0

Hopefully you can hear the excitement in my voice because I'm just, I don't know, on a cloud, maybe.

0:40.0

Yeah, man. I mean, if you're on Twitter at all, people were losing their minds for this episode. I don't think I've seen, well, I think I have seen. I guess the Mandalorian season finale was up there as far as conversation and as far as people kind of going crazy over an episode. But that was more about a reveal, I feel. This was more about just the quality of the episode, which is kind of rare, right?

1:04.0

Are you talking about positive or negative inner positive? Like people were just like, you know, give all the awards and like, wow, what an episode. That was a movie, you know, this was the best thing I've seen. Like that kind of tweets I saw.

1:20.0

I saw all of that, but I do think I saw the negative to counteract to like as much negative because I don't see a single negative one. That's crazy.

1:30.0

That's crazy. That's awesome. Like in luckily, like I said, I'm still like floating on a cloud. Like I feel so good. I'm looking at my notes right now. There's just a ton to talk about with this episode. And I knew this episode was the episode where opinions and theories are either validated or they go to die. You know, it was just like one of those episodes that kind of, I don't know, reminds us of everything that we've talked about up to this point.

1:59.0

It gives us the answers. It denies us of all of our, you know, hopes and dreams sometimes, but that's just, that's just what it is. And we have more than ever, the best sense as to what one division is now as a whole, yeah.

2:13.0

Yeah. And I feel like, I mean, I don't know how much you want to jump around, but the more that I think about what I thought was happening, I don't even know if I even said it as much on this podcast, maybe an episode one when we started our episode.

2:28.0

Did I say, hey, maybe this is just like Wanda subconscious that's creating this bubble around this town, which I miss, that's kind of what it was. And then what's interesting is that we now get confirmation that the vision that we've been seeing is actually completely constructed from Wanda subconscious, like actually literally created a new vision out of her own thoughts and memories.

2:56.0

Kind of like a doctor man hat and like straight up like doctor man hat and, you know, creating new beans and creating total people out of your thoughts and out of your memories.

3:09.0

It's funny how much you and I have to say everybody really, the fandom just discuss the interest intricacies of the magic or the powers that, you know, Wanda was capable of, the agnus maybe capable of dot, you know.

3:24.0

So many people were thrown out over over the course of the past seven weeks, but or eight weeks rather. And we, we didn't really nail it at all really in terms of like the specifications as to what's actually going on.

3:41.0

We, you know, like we said, we kind of talked about it happening subconsciously, but it kind of also wasn't really subconsciously like I guess it is.

3:50.0

But let's just, let's just start there.

3:54.0

Why not?

3:55.0

I would push back on that. I definitely think it is. I don't think she necessarily said, I want to sit sit calm life, make it happen.

4:03.0

And then she snaps like Thanos with the gauntlet. I think she just in the subconscious of her mind, she was thinking like, you know, I've always loved sitcoms.

4:12.0

Wouldn't it be great to have a sitcom life with my husband who happens to be a dead sentient robot?

4:18.0

You know, I guess what doesn't, what doesn't feel like subconscious is like the decision to create vision like that.

4:26.0

I understand what you're saying. And I don't think we disagree. I just, but I feel like that wasn't necessarily explained.
