At an election rally attended by thousands of people, the US Vice President and now presidential nominee

Kamala Harris appeared with her newly selected running mate, the Governor of Minnesota, Tim

Walls. The Democratic presidential candidate announced her choice earlier on

Tuesday. Tim Walz is known for his progressive policies and his plain speaking. He's

made an impact on social media in recent weeks by labelling former President Trump

and his running mate J.D Vance as weird.

The Trump campaign has immediately dismissed Mr. Walls as a dangerously liberal extremist.
